Apologies from Jac

I'm sorry. When I said I was going to post out the books what I obviously meant to say was that I was going to wrap and address them and then leave them on a table and forget about going to the post office.

Books have been taken to the post office today and should be with you shortly

  1. I look forward to receiving your book Jac. The pics you posted have been inspiring to say the least. I'm having to upgrade my effort and am at the very beginning stages of this series so apologies to all for being late. I did, in fact, visit the post office today with the expectation of finding your book in my post box and found Cheryl's instead! So Cheryl, thanks! Reading between the lines - lots of absent space - I'm not the only one that will be late. Will clock back in here shortly with an update.

  3. i noticed that our old Artist Book 3.0 site seems to be still active...i received a message from Cheryl there, not the notification of it in my main mail box though as it was usual, i found it out just by chance checking out the site for curiosity. have a look and let me know.

  4. there is a donation page http://artistbooks.ning.com/opensocial/ningapps/show?appUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fos.ning.com%2Fningapps%2Fpaypal%2Fgadget.xml%3Fning-app-status%3Dnetwork&owner=1k0w9zwsn1i62
    maybe is that?

  5. IT IS SUCH a mission doing donations from here without PAYPAL and then the site may close anyway. Robert is surprised its still running... I may add a few of our books there - anyone want this discussion there?

  6. i would not mind donating. but i won't without knowing. i saw him on line as his green light was on and wrote him a message but so far it was ignored. perhaps ning is slow closing down small sites, anyways it's better to write down some addresses and contacts before the site vanishes into the ether...:-))

  7. I posted earlier about the ning site still being operative. Even received a message from Cheryl on there. I'm busy clearing the decks for the production phase to start and am looking forward to the process.

    1. coming to think of it, it must be the donations given earlier that keep the site still running, probably for a little longer and then it will be closed.

  13. Hi Stephanie and Patrizia, sorry this is so late but I haven't been at home much in the past few weeks. Just wanted to say thanks your books arrived safely. Very different and both great

  14. Conversely to Jac, I haven't been away from home for several weeks so haven't visited the town to check my post box. Obviously looking forward what I'll find once I do. Again, apologies, I'm late. It will get done. For once the idea I started with held throughout the months, the only puzzle being the covers and what they'd look like.

    1. Hi Cheryl, you didn't say where in Jhb the presentation will take place? Is it open to the public? If so, I want to tell some friends and see if they can attend?

  18. Jac, your book was in my post box when I visited Graskop the other day for my monthly grocery shop. It's an absolute beaut! My collection is only tiny still but I'm seriously thinking of showcasing the collaboration for no other reason it seems selfish to keep these to oneself and not let other people view it. I'll stay in touch. Oh, sorry btw, seriously late, books are in production.

  19. Drat - I deleted my comment! There is a large colloquium (first of its kind for artists books) happening at the University of Johannesburg from 23/3 - 25/26/3. There are forms to attend on the South African Artists Book site - good to pass news on - thanks :-).

  20. I wanted to post some progress pics but couldn't figure out how without creating a blog first. The dashboard doesn't feature a new post option, only a new blog?
